On 26 June, the results of the selected European Universities alliances were announced. German universities are successfully represented.
The available budget has been significantly increased to 85 million euros, so that 17 alliances – instead of the 12 previously expected – can be funded. The approved alliances will be funded over three years with a budget of 5 million euros each. The selected projects involve 114 universities from 24 EU member states and Norway ; they have an average of 7 partners.
Out of the 54 applications submitted, 17 projects were selected. 15 German universities are involved as coordinators or partners in 14 networks. Universities, which were not funded in the first call, will again have the opportunity to submit an application in autumn of this year.
