On 25 and 26 September 2019, the DAAD is organising a Bologna Cooperation Forum, including a Conference and a Networking Meeting for Higher Education Cooperation in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The conference is organised by the DAAD on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and in cooperation with the DAAD Information Centre Baku.
It will take place over two days:

Bologna-Conference (plenary) on 25 September

Azerbaijan joined the European Higher Education area in 2005 and is increasingly seeking to make progress on the implementation of Bologna reforms, the internationalization of its higher education system and the alignment with European standards.
Therefore, an international conference will be held to support and encourage the reform efforts. The conference will address key elements of the European higher education reform, including quality assurance, transparency instruments such as ECTS / Diploma Supplement but also the topic of recognition of qualifications.

European-Azerbaijan Networking Meeting on 26 September

The Networking Meeting at local universities will provide participants with the opportunity to establish cooperation partnerships with Azerbaijani & European colleagues.

Addressed are representatives from all academic disciplines as well as from International Offices and other interested higher education representatives.
