Job vacancy: Project Assistant „European Digital Education Hub“ at the DAAD Brussels office (Full-time)

The DAAD Brussels office is looking for a Project Assistant to support the implementation of the European Digital Education Hub.

DAAD leads an international consortium that has been awarded the EU contract to support the development of the “European Digital Education Hub” between February 2022 and February 2025. In this context, the DAAD Brussels Office is looking for a motivated Project Assistant as soon as possible to implement EDEH in close collaboration with DG Education and Culture as well as the European Education and Culture Executive Agency.

  • Support the management of the DAAD component and the Project Leader of EDEH through
    • the organisation of working meetings within DAAD, with project partners and relevant stakeholders
    • documentation of meetings (minutes)
    • supporting reporting routines
    • financial calculations and budgetary control measures
    • monitoring project achievements and KPIs
    • as well as further administrative tasks
  • Travel and logistical planning for DAAD-led components in EDEH
  • Establishing linkages to relevant themes and activities in DAAD

  • A higher education degree in political and social sciences, education, data science or other relevant disciplines
  • First work experiences in project management, administrative support and budgetary management in the context of EU-funded projects and activities
  • Good knowledge of European higher education policy, digitalisation policy and EU governance structures
  • Very strong communication skills. Capable of bringing a diverse and remotely located team together
  • Ability to work effectively and independently, as part of a team, and in partnership with other organisations
  • Excellent speaking, writing, and editing skills in English; German and French language skills are advantageous
  • Expertise in communication and public relations work
