Job vacancy: Project Leader „European Digital Education Hub“ at the DAAD Brussels office (Full-time)

The DAAD Brussels office is looking for a Project Leader with more than 6 years of experience to manage the implementation of the European Digital Education Hub.

DAAD leads an international consortium that has been awarded the EU contract to support the development of the “European Digital Education Hub” between February 2022 and February 2025. In this context, the DAAD Brussels Office is looking for a motivated Project Leader as soon as possible to implement EDEH in close collaboration with DG Education and Culture as well as the European Education and Culture Executive Agency.

  • Management of the DAAD component of EDEH, including
    • Conceptional work on the development of the European Digital Education Hub
    • Planning, coordination and monitoring of tasks and work packages (e.g. Community of Practice Workshops, Communication measures)
    • Internal and external representation
    • Internal liaison work with DAAD headquarters
    • Budgetary responsibility and management of the tender
  • Management and coordination of consortium partners and subcontractors
  • Liaison work with relevant counterparts in DG Education and Culture as well as the European Education and Culture Executive Agency
  • Team lead (Policy officer and project assistant)

  • A higher education degree in political and social sciences, education, data science or other relevant disciplines
  • Very good project management skills and more than 6 years’ experience in project management (preferably in European projects)
  • Prior experience with budgetary management in large EU funded projects (more than € 1 million turnover)
  • Very good knowledge of European higher education policy, digitalisation policy and EU governance structures
  • Very strong communication skills. Capable of bringing a diverse and remotely located team together
  • Strong coordination and leader skills. Ability to lead a team that works remotely, independently and within a large consortium of independent organisations
  • Excellent speaking, writing, and editing skills in English; German and French language skills are advantageous
  • Expertise in communication and public relations work
