Teachers are working in an increasingly globalised environment and in multicultural classrooms. International experience and intercultural knowledge are therefore crucial for those studying to become a teacher.
In order to further promote the internationalisation of teacher education, DAAD and Diku Norway will organise a European conference on the internationalisation of teacher education in Brussels on 8th/9th June 2020.
The event will address both higher education representatives and policy makers from Europe to discuss good practices how to incorporate international elements in teacher education as well as structural challenges on political level to further internationalise teacher education in Europe.
The conference organisers welcome the focus on teachers set by the Croatian EU presidency in the first half of 2020.
Further information on the conference in Brussels will be published shortly on this website. You can register under this link to voice your interest in further information on the event.
DAAD and Diku have issued a Europe-wide survey among higher education representatives, who are involved in teacher education. The results of the survey aim to contribute to political discussions of the Croatian EU presidency and feet into the conference on the internationalisation of teacher education in Brussels.
We encourage higher education representatives from Europe to take part in the survey and forward it to any further stakeholders and colleagues, who are involved in teacher education. During the survey you will have the (optional) possibility to voice your interest to receive further information on above mentioned conference in Brussels.
Many thanks for your participation! Link to the survey
